About The Author
Tamara Bayazitov
Tamara Bayazitov holds a Master of Arts in Teaching from Grand Canyon University and spent many years as a high school educator before turning to writing. Inspired by her friend Warren Helsley, who encouraged her to share her family’s experiences during the BAM project in Siberia, she began drafting her memoirs in 2005.
Her childhood shaped much of her voice as a writer. Losing her father in wartime and being raised by a hardworking but uneducated mother taught her resilience and self-reliance. Tamara’s work is marked by honesty, reflection, and persistence. She acknowledges her struggles and the many revisions it took to bring her story to life, yet she believes every challenge holds an opportunity.
